Guidance for International Programs and Activities
In support of Harvard's commitment to enabling faculty, staff, and student activities abroad, our office provides consultative services on a range of foreign operations.
Although there are some similarities between operating in the U.S. and operating in a foreign country, there are also many administrative, legal, and financial differences that you need to include in your planning.
In this section, we’ve outlined the key considerations to help you navigate international requirements and University policies, which will depend on:
- the activity to be done
- the country in which the activity takes place
- Harvard's status in that country
- the status of student participants
One key to your success is to plan early to help keep your project on time and on budget. And our office can help each step of the way. Start by reviewing the applicable topics in this section, and then contact us to discuss your project.
