International SOS Eligibility Questionnaire

Eligibility for Harvard University's International SOS membership depends on your affiliation to Harvard and the reason for your travel. We've outlined the eligibility criteria in detail and created the questionnaire below to help you determine your eligibility on a per-trip basis. This includes course takers, certificate programs, and non-credit professional development courses and programs.
Harvard-sponsored travel is funded or paid by Harvard, organized or led by Harvard, or involves academic work qualifying for credit.

Based on your answers, you're not eligible for Harvard's International SOS membership for emergency medical and security assistance and evacuation. You can, however, access the International SOS member portal to browse country guides and research your destination.

Alternative Options
As a Harvard affiliate, you can purchase a discounted individual or family International SOS membership for your personal trips. Visit the International SOS membership portal to learn more about the discount for Harvard affiliates' personal travel

The U.S. State Department also maintains a comprehensive list of private providers that offer travel medical insurance and evacuation coverage.
