Director of International Safety & Security

We seek an experienced global security professional with excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills who remains calm under pressure and leads confidently during critical incidents. The Director's scope is University wide, and you'll be leading Harvard's 24/7 international safety, security, and emergency response program. This includes managing a three-person team, overseeing risk assessments and traveler trainings, managing the response to international emergencies, and partnering with stakeholders to develop, uphold, and champion resources, policies, and procedures that enable international travelers and programs to make informed decisions while managing individual and institutional risks. You'll also serve as a core member of the GSS leadership team, working collaboratively to advance strategic priorities and administrative processes that further develop GSS as a resilient organization. International Project Administrator

We seek an organized and detail-oriented international operations professional with excellent intercultural communication and project management skills who can build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders. This position supports Harvard Global, our separate but affiliated nonprofit corporation, and you'll be planning, coordinating, and tracking the operational, compliance, and HR workstreams—from board governance and entity filings to audits, insurance, and banking arrangements—that keep our international entities running compliantly. You'll also support global hiring and payroll processes, conduct country-specific operational risk assessments, and serve as a central organizing point to advise and support our clients' activities as they navigate University policies, international regulations, and country-specific requirements.
